The beautifully heart-wrenching story of two castaways brought together by vastly different circumstances.  At nine-years-old, Michael Nygaard is transplanted from his Minnesota farm, and the sacred wolf-filled wilderness that surrounds him, to suburban Chicago (Ackerman, Illinois)  after his father dies abruptly.  Simultaneously, Julia Parnell escapes to Ackerman in hopes of beginning her life anew after a failed atempt to live openly with her lifelong girlfriend, Rose.

Jessica Null Vealitzek is a former reporter and political communications director. She was born and raised northwest of Chicago, where she now lives with her husband and two children. This is her first novel.

--Susan Henderson, author of "Up from the Blue"

"As you read about the seemingly quiet, Midwestern lives of the people of "The Rooms Are Filled", you will suddenly realize that you desperately want them to get everything they're hoping for."
